SAFETY TIP

Most companies are ill-equipped to handle OSHA citations or law suits of negligence brought on by employees or others injured or killed on their premises.  Click here to find helpful information about how to be prepared.

There is a Reason!

  • “Why all the fuss about my employees’ job tasks?”
  • Why can’t we just send injured workers to the nearest medical facility?”
  • “What’s the big deal about getting injured workers back to work immediately?"

The CBR Risk Department fields these questions regularly.  There is a reason for each of these things, and you need to be informed!  We strive mightily to balance the care of your employees with the cost to your company to provide workers’ compensation coverage.  No one wants their employees neglected, and no one wants to pay excessive amounts for insurance coverage.

So, let’s take a deeper look at the three important questions above.

Document, Document, Document

You’ve heard it before!  But why is it so important to document?  What needs to be documented, and when?  The documentation you provide to OSHA or to an attorney who may be defending you against a claim of negligence by an injured employee or someone else on your property is critical.  Failure to adequately document could mean the difference in thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, or even whether or not your company stays in business!

During our next Safety Webinar, we will tell you:

  1. What documents you must be able to present if your company is cited by OSHA.
  2. What documents serve as the best protection for your company in the event of accused liability such as a severe injury or death.

Join us for Document for Success, to learn more!  The response to our online webinars has been excellent, while response to live seminars in our office has not been so good.  Therefore, we are transitioning exclusively to the more-efficient, time-saving method of webinars only.  This seminar will not be available live in our office.
