In Case of Injury: C-B-R!
“A worker just got injured. Where should he go?”
“I don’t know what happened.”
“I didn’t know who to notify.”
As an injured worker, you would want to be treated quickly and appropriately, wouldn’t you? As owner of a company, you want your costs to be contained, don’t you? An important key to both is to implement and follow through on well-established protocols. CBR has worked diligently to establish such injury protocols on your behalf, but they must be implemented and followed through in order to be of most benefit to your company.
The beginning of a new year is the most opportune time to set the course. Every employee in your company should know exactly what to do in case of accident and injury. We’ll use the CBR acronym to help you remember! Thus, your next safety meeting should contain this “In Case of Injury” review:
C Correct medical facility (Concentra, whenever possible)
B Begin investigating immediately
R Report within 24 hours
