Lunch and Learn Seminar in October on Arizona’s New Immigration Law
CBR will offer a Lunch and Learn seminar on Oct. 30 to help local businesses learn about the new immigration law known as the Legal Arizona Workers Act (HB 2779) and how to ensure their business is in compliance.
Demand from local businesses to understand and learn how to comply with the new immigration law prompted CBR to reach out to the local business community with the educational seminars.
Aaron Witsoe, president of CBR, commented, “As an Arizona-focused Professional Employer Organization, we feel a responsibility to our clients and the local business community to provide educational resources that keep them informed on the issues surrounding this new law.”
The seminars will assist participants in the following ways:
- How to comply with the new law strictly from an HR perspective
- Learn about the E-Verify System (formerly Basic Pilot Program) and I-9 Compliance
- A copy of the presentation and tips they can take back to their companies
- Answer questions pertaining to the law and hiring practices
The Lunch and Learn seminar will be held at 3335 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, Ariz., 85018, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m on October 30. Cost is $45 and free to current CBR clients. Participants can register on the CBR Web site.
We hope to see you there! |
